Granville DeSpray

Granville DeSpray is a supporting character in Pet Alien.

History[]

Granville is a direct descendant of DeSpray Bay's founder, Lysol DeSpray ("When Clinton Ruled the World"). He values old English traditions like teatime and lives in a large mansion at the top of a hill. Oddly, all the characters think he is Norwegian. Granville is hopelessly in love with Melba and has numerous times, to no avail, attempted to win her heart. He hates Tommy, who he believes is also trying to win Melba's love, and always blames him for anything bad that happens. He only has one "friend"; the statue Admiral Puff. He has another dog statue named Jean Claude. He always tries to impress Melba by acting street and displaying hip-hop.

Personality[]

Granville is an extremely obnoxious, arrogant, whiny geek with a high-pitched British accent. He frequently tries to show off how cool he is with outdated slang, talking street, doing weird dance moves and hip-hop, but is frequently mocked by the rest of the cast and shown to be out-of-touch. Nobody in the cast seems to like him, as Melba beats him up, Clinton bullies him, and even Tommy, Gabby and the aliens find him annoying (with the exception of Swanky, and even then, he doesn't like how lame he is). He frequently talks to inanimate statues that he seems to believe are alive; his favorite statue, as seen in most episodes, is a dog statue called "Admiral Puff".

Physical Appearance[]

Granville is a slightly chubby 13-year-old boy who has pale skin, green eyes, buck teeth, freckles, and velvet hair styled in a bowl cut. He wears blue shorts with brown suspenders, a white shirt, red bow tie, and brown boots and socks.

Trivia[]

  • A running gag in the show is that the characters stupidly think that he’s Norwegian, despite him clearly being British.
  • It is shown at various points in the show that Granville stalks Melba frequently and even has cameras hidden around her house.
  • Whenever Granville runs away, his hair falls off, implying that he wears a toupee.
